Are the treatments suitable for anyone?

Treatments wouldn't be suitable if you were under the age of 18 years, or had a known allergy or sensitivity to particular products or their ingredients, including local anaesthetics.

They also wouldn't be recommended for pregnant or breast-feeding women, or for those with skin infections near the areas requiring injection.

If you're taking certain treatments which affect blood clotting, such as Aspirin, Warfarin, Clopidogrel or Omega-3 oils, you should contact me about the suitability of the treatments for you.

Will I be bruised or swollen after my filler appointment?

Bruising and swelling are definite possibilities with any filler. We provide pre and post care instructions to you to minimize your chances of bruising as best we can. Any swelling or bruising that does occur will normally resolve itself in one to two weeks. We encourage you to follow up with us if you have any concerns.

Do you use anaesthetic or pain relief in your treatments?

Some treatments have anaesthetic inbuilt. We offer topical anaesthetic on request or when needed.

I had a facial aesthetic treatment elsewhere, but I am not happy. Can you correct other clinics treatments?

Depends on the treatment. Dermal and lip fillers can be dissolved. Treatments such as anti-wrinkle injections cannot be reversed. However, as they are temporary, they will fade in approximately four months. You can book in a free consultation to discuss options.

Who would benefit from having Botulinum Toxin?

Anyone can benefit from botulinum toxin, both men and women. Botulinum is most effective in improving lines or wrinkles due to facial expressions; for example, worry lines or frown lines on the forehead and between the eyebrows. This is because these lines are usually caused by overactive muscles and the treatment stops these muscles from contracting and causing the wrinkles. You should not have treatment with botulinum if you are pregnant, breast-feeding, have a neurological disease or a known hypersensitivity to it.

Do you do any package deals if I want several treatments?

We do offer several treatment packages. Discounts are available when having multiple treatment done in one appointment, please ask your clinician for more details and for a tailored quote.

Can I get a quote over the phone, before seeing the clinician?

We can’t tell you the price of treatment before your appointment, as we do not know what exactly you want to achieve, the areas requiring treatment, or how much of the filler or prescription medicine (Botox®) we would need to administer. We offer a free consultation to address all questions and to create your personalised treatment plan.

I do not want anyone to know I have had treatment. What is your privacy policy?

At smart Aesthetics we take your privacy seriously. We will only share your photos if we have your permission to do so. Client confidentiality is of utmost importance to us.
